Listen To A Brand New Archgoat Song Exclusively With Terrorizer

Finland’s infamous black metal lunatics Archgoat will be releasing their long-awaited third album ‘The Apocalyptic Triumphator’ next year, but you can hear a brand new track from it (the charmingly titled ‘Congregation Of Circumcised’) right here, right now…

Formed back in 1989, Archgoat promptly called it a day in 1993, only to become one of those cherished bands that are spoken about in hushed tones within black metal circles. The trio reunited in 2004 and burst back into life with the appropriately titled ‘Angelslaying Black Fucking Metal’ EP, and have gone from strength to strength ever since.

The band are often compared to the likes of Blasphemy and fellow countrymen Beherit, and whilst the influence these bands have had on Archgoat is undeniable, they’re fairly different when you get down to it; not quite as chaotic, the Archgoat sound is a little denser and with more of a death metal influence, with is evident in both the belched vocals and the utterly rancid groove that underpins songs like ‘Grand Luciferian Theophany’. ‘Congregation Of Circumcised’, however, finds the trio in full-on attack mode, and is a great example of their thick, evil and ridiculously satisfying approach.
