Sepulchral Curse have released a video for the track ‘Gospel of Bones’ which is taken from their album ‘At the Onset of Extinction’ out 15 December 2016 on Transcending Obscurity Records. Support Sepulchral Curse by visiting the band’s Bandcamp page.

Guitarist Aleksi Lukka said:

“The music was written during a period of unemployment and general uncertainty regarding a variety of things in my life. As a result there was a great deal of anxiety, frustration and anger to deal with. One method was to practically physically abuse my guitar for hours on end. Such sessions eventually gave birth to riffs reflecting how I felt, which I started piecing together. The resulting song is brute, dark aggression. And that is everything it needs to be.”

Drummer and backing vocalist Tommi Ilmanen said:

“The lyrics tell about a potent witch, who under the guidance of dark powers and malignant deities has found a formula for a perfect sacrifice. The gods want human blood and that’s what they will get. In the beginning of the text the witch has gathered the victims for the grand offering. Then she proceeds to kill them all in predetermined ways, and in the end she chants a prayer just like the gods has guided. The inspiration behind the lyrics lies in the case of Jonestown and the mass suicide that happened there. Sure there is no suicide happening in the lyrics but the original idea came from the aforementioned story.”
