Destroy The Silence.

‘Destroy The Silence” is on 28th August at The Underworld, Camden, London and is presented by Crimped Plumage, Inquisition and Flag Promotions. The event’s name came about due to the cancellation of a European event a short while back and it was decided that since quite a lot of bands were booked for the PS Festival they’d be given a chance to play that weekend regardless. A very noble stance.

There are loads of great bands, with more to be confirmed with DJing by Berlin’s Thomas Thyssen of Pagan Loves Songs and When We Were Young, Leipzig and Tigerlily and Exciter of Static Magazin Germany. So far the confirmed bands are The Eden House, Pretentious, Moi?, Vendemmian, The Last Cry, Dutch Order and a new Scottish band called Dead Eyes Opened who will be launching their new EP produced by Stephen Carey called ‘Believe’.

The very reasonable ticket price of £12.50 also gives you access to the Pretentious, Moi?/Vendemmian drink-off that because of his new status of ‘responsible adult and promoter’, Maisey, the king of the bare chested human pyramid can’t take part in. However the first drink-off team that manages to build a decent pyramid will get a Snakebite on the house. Maisey says ‘that obviously for health and safety reasons I don’t recommend taking part in the drink-off or the pyramid building but ply me with enough Snakebite and I may forget that I said that’.

It’s an all-day event that starts at 3pm with hard partying until the pyramid collapses, and there’ll be more updates in due course but meanwhile, get your ticket from here:
