Pentagram Chile Stream New Album Exclusively With Terrorizer

By on 30 August 2013

The wait is finally over! The long awaited debut from death/thrash forefathers Pentagram Chile is here, and streaming in full exclusively with Terrorizer.

After releasing their first demo back in 1986, Pentagram Chile have never really been given their dues. Originally known simply as Pentagram (the trio officially changed their name last year out of respect to Bobby Liebling’s enduring doom band of the same name), the band spearheaded the fledgling death metal sound along with early pioneers like Possessed and Celtic Frost, and have been cited as an influence by stalwarts like At The Gates, Dismember and Napalm Death (who covered their classic ‘Demoniac Possession’ on their ‘Leaders Not Followers’ EP).

After splitting up in 1992, the band reunited in 2000 and they’re now firmly back in action. Following a split with bona fide death metal legends Master earlier on this year, Pentagram Chile’s debut album ‘The Malefice’ is ready to be unleashed upon the world, and it’s an absolute monster. Full of the frantic, deliciously evil riffs that established them as kings of the underground all those years ago, ‘The Malefice’ could well be one of the finest old school death metal records released this year.

‘The Malefice’ is released on September 6th through Cyclone Empire as a regular jewel case CD, and also as a double CD digipak and double gatefold vinyl, both of which come with 7 re-recorded demo tracks. All of these formats are available to pre-order here, but if you just can’t wait to hear it, we’re streaming the whole thing right here…

You can find both Pentagram Chile and Cyclone Empire on Facebook.
