Nausea Premiere New Song ‘Hate & Deception’ Exclusively With Terrorizer
LA grindcore legends Nausea (featuring ex-Terrorizer vocalist Oscar Garcia) have teamed up with Terrorizer to give you an exclusive listen to their brand new song ‘Hate & Deception’. How’s that for an early Christmas present, eh?
Yep, that’s right, these seminal grind pioneers are back, and more aggressive than ever before. The debt owed by the grindcore community to Terrorizer and their pivotal 1989 ‘World Downfall’ album is acknowledged readily and often, but the project’s sister band, Nausea, often tends to get overlooked in the grand scheme of things. Vocalist Oscar Garcia was in both bands simultaneously, and certain Terrorizer classics like ‘Corporation Pull-in’, ‘Need to Live’ and ‘Condemned System’ actually originated as Nausea songs. The band’s 1991 debut album ‘Crime Against Humanity’ is a criminally underrated record that belongs in every self respecting grind freak’s collection.
Despite being very active in the live arena for the past 3 years (the band have performed at the Maryland Death Fest, Power of the Riff Fest and Bloodshed Fest as well as playing shows alongside Repulsion, Nails and Nasum), the prospect of new music from Nausea has often seemed like an unlikely pipe dream – well, until now that is!
Garcia, along with long-time partner in crime Eric Castro (Majesty) have been joined by two new members: Bassist Alejandro CB (Pounder, Chemical Bitches) and guitarist Leon del Muerte (Murder Construct, ex-Exhumed, Phobia, Impaled, Intronaut) to record a new studio album (their first in 13 years!), entitled ‘Condemned To The System’. The album was recorded by Sean Vahle, (DIS, Phobia, Exhumed, Murder Construct, Intronaut) and mixed/mastered by Alejandro Corredor (Inquisition, Exhumed, Enslaved).
‘Hate & Deception’ is a fine example of the raging, old school grindcore fury that awaits you on their new record. If you have even the faintest interest in blastbeats, this is going to be one of the first essential albums of 2014. With their strongest line-up to date and proper label support, Nausea are finally ready to reclaim the legendary status that is rightfully theirs.
