Listen To Monolithian’s New Song ‘Crone’

By on 1 February 2017

UK doom duo Monolithian have just revealed that their highly anticipated second album ‘The Waning Moon’ will be released this March, and you can hear ‘Crone’, a brand new song from it, right here, right now…

All ears were on Monolithian after their crushing 2015 debut ‘The Finest Day I Ever Lived, Was When Tomorrow Never Came’, not to mention their splits with the likes of Let It Die and Ed Wood and devastatingly heavy live performances, and they show no signs of slowing down in 2017, with appearances at Ritual Dreadfest and Desertfest already lined up and a new record on the way. ‘The Waning Moon’ was recorded by Adam Chinnor at Freefall Studios in Falmouth (with artwork courtesy of Atomçk guitarist Luke Oram), and if ‘Crone’ is anything to go by, it could be their heaviest work yet.

Beginning as a slow, ominous doom crawl, the track breaks down into a thunderous, Bolt Thrower-esque groove before exploding into an icy black metal blitzkrieg, with dual vocals from bassist Simon Walker and drummer Shannon Green complementing the musical fury perfectly. Hit play below and prepare to be flattened…

‘The Waning Moon’ is due to be released on March 1st via Atomsmasher, Bad Road, Charlie’s Big Ray Gun and Autonomonster, with pre-orders going up on February 5th
