Listen To Alunah Covering The Cure Ahead Of Their UK Tour

By on 1 March 2017

Ahead of their UK tour next month, Birmingham doom quartet Alunah have teamed up with Terrorizer for an exclusive listen to their cover of The Cure’s ‘A Forest’, taken from their upcoming fourth album ‘Solennial’.

Following 2014’s career highlight ‘Awakening The Forest’ we’ve got high hopes for ‘Solennial’. The album was recorded and mixed by Chris Fielding at Skyhammer Studio and mastered by Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios, and sounds suitably huge as a result, as their doom-laden cover of The Cure’s classic ‘A Forest’ demonstrates. The song’s cello arrangement was written and performed by Charlotte Nicholls, and the illustrations you’ll see in the video come courtesy of Adrian Baxter.

If you’ve had the pleasure of seeing Alunah live, you may have already seen them performing this; and if you haven’t seen them live yet, check the full list of tour dates below…

Alunah play the following UK dates:

31, Friday: The Chameleon, Nottingham (with Kurokuma and Damn Craters) (Event page)
6, Thursday: The Flapper, Birmingham (Supports TBA) (Event page)
7, Friday: Bannermans, Edinburgh (with King Witch and Pyre Of The Earth) (Event page)
