Jar’d Loose Premiere New Song ‘Jackson The Pollock’ With Terrorizer

By on 20 May 2014

Chicago’s acerbic noise rockers Jar’d Loose are all set to release their new album ‘Turns 13’ next week, but you can hear a brand new song from it entitled ‘Jackson The Pollock’ right now, exclusively with Terrorizer…

‘Turns 13’ is the follow-up to the band’s 2012 debut ‘Goes To Purgatory’ and finds this unhinged quartet developing their brash, noisy sound even further; whilst their debut could have easily fit onto Amphetamine Reptile’s mid ’90s roster, this new one sees Jar’d Loose coming into their own and producing the kind of sarcastic, vitriol drenched noise rock that endless Jesus Lizard comparisons just don’t do justice to. The record was produced by Pete Grossman (Harm’s Way, Weekend Nachos) and mastered by Today Is The Day’s Steve Austin (Converge, Unsane, Deadguy), so you just know this thing is going to sound mean!

Frontman Eddie Gobbo had this to say about ‘Turns 13’:

“We consciously wanted to go deep with elements of garage rock and ’70s rock, Aerosmith and Alice Cooper, and not shy away from any potential risk. Anytime we were on the fence about doing something on this album, we did it.”

‘Turns 13’ is due to be released on May 27 via The Path Less Traveled/Threshold Of Pain.
