Floor Premiere New Song ‘Find Away’ Exclusively With Terrorizer
Recently reformed sludge heroes Floor have joined forces with Terrorizer for an exclusive premiere of their new riff laden anthem ‘Find Away’, taken from the band’s highly anticipated comeback record ‘Oblation’.
The Floridian trio was formed back in 1992 by future Torche frontman Steve Brooks and bassist Anthony Vialon. They quickly made a name for themselves with several gloriously heavy EPs and splits with legends like Spazz, Sloth, Toadliquor and more, before releasing their self-titled debut full-length in 2002, a storming collection of thick, sludgy riffs bound together by a rich, anthemic backbone. The band would repeat the trick two years later with ‘Dove’ before gracefully bowing out as Brooks left to form Torche.
And for several years, that was the last we’d heard from Floor, until the band reformed in 2010 for a handful of shows (that were later documented in the ‘Sight & Seen’ DVD). Now the band appear to be firmly back in action, and their latest record ‘Oblation, their first new material in over 10 years, is an absolute beast.
Brooks’ keen ear for a melody is readily apparent on ‘Find Away’, as is his penchant for riffs so large you could lose yourself in them for days. Check it out below…
‘Oblation’ is due to be released on April 25th via Season Of Mist, and is available for pre-order here.
