KEN mode To Play Album Launch Show In London On Monday

By on 27 May 2015

To celebrate the release of their new album ‘Success’, Canadian noise rock trio KEN mode will be playing an album launch show in London this Monday, where you’ll be able to pick up a copy of the record cheaper than elsewhere.

Their sixth full-length to date, ‘Success’ finds the band paying homage to the acerbic noise rock of the ’80s and early ’90s, bolstered by a wonderfully organic Steve Albini production job (who else?). While the metallic sheen of their last few albums may have been lessened, the amount of vitriol hasn’t diminished whatsoever, and has resulted in one of the band’s most immediate and engaging records yet. Lyrically, the band’s fascination with comedy spirals around classical western concepts of ‘success’ – from employment, sex, marriage, religion, socioeconomic standing, and particularly the many perceptions people have of how they, and those around them, happen to fit into the world.

You can hear four new songs from the album below…

The album launch show is due to take place on June 1st at The Macbeth in London. Tickets are priced at just £7.50 in advance, and you can pick one up here.
