Psychedelic doom trio 11 Paranoias headline Sheffield’s Doomlines All-Dayer next Saturday, alongside Boss Keloid, Iced Out, Under, Kurokuma, Wort, Archelon, Shrykull, Ba’al and Arae.

Comprised of Adam Richardson (Ramesses), Mike Vest (Bong, Drunk In Hell, Blown Out, Melting Hand and loads of other great bands) and Nathan Perrier (Satan’s Wrath, ex-Capricorns), there’s no doubting 11Paranoias’ credentials. Whilst elements of their former bands are present in 11 Paranoias’ sound, their blown out, evil wall of noise also hints at a youth spent obsessively spinning Loop and Skullflower LPs during an endless parade of squat based blotter binges. The band scoff at the traditional doom rule book in favour of burrowing into the weirder and less travelled seams of the genre, and whilst the term ‘ritualistic’ has unfortunately been reduced to a PR buzzword in recent years, the band’s mesmeric trances are more than worthy of said adjective. Real bad trip music, the perfect band to headline this second edition of Doomlines.

Here’s what Holy Spider Promotions themselves had to say about it:

“Doomlines is what brought Holy Spider Promotions into existence last year – we threw it together at the last minute and it stuck. But this year we’ve had more time to plan and put the lineup together, so come and celebrate Holy Spider’s 1st birthday and get down to a hand-picked selection of the slowest/dirtiest/straight-up heaviest underground UK bands. It’s part of Sheffield’s city-wide Tramlines music festival, and this year it will be held at the Yorkshireman Rock Bar.

† 10 bands from 2-11pm on the Saturday of Tramlines
† Wristbanded event so come and go as many times as you like – £6 OTD
† Under 18s allowed during the day if accompanied by an adult
† Plenty of merch and ale to spend your money on too”

We’ll see you there!

Doomlines takes place on Saturday July 23rd at the Yorkshireman Rock Bar in Sheffield. You can find more information here.
