By on 20 October 2015

Swedish heavy metallers Civil War have released a William Wallace/Mel Gibson inspired video for their track ‘Braveheart’, taken from their album ‘Gods and Generals’ released in May this year through Napalm Records. You can get ‘Gods and Generals’ from Napalm Records directly.

The band comprises  former members of Sabaton and Astral Doors, ‘Gods and Generals’ is the band’s follow up to 2013’s ‘Killer Angels’. The album was recorded and mixed by Peter Tägtgren at Abyss Studios.

Speaking of the video, the band said:

“This is Civil War’s tribute to the Scottish freedom fighter William Wallace who fought the English king back in the 13th century. You all know the story and you have all have seen the 1995 movie with Mel Gibson. 20 years later it’s time for video director Patric Ullaeus (www.Revolver.se ) to give the world his version: The entire story in 3 minutes! Epic!”
