The long running Festival Darkend, previously held in Mansfield's 'The Intake', for the first time resides in Nottingham’s 'The Old Angel'. This timeless old venue has played host to many such events, most recently, Gina Stone’s EP launch party with support from The Realm. This year's festival welcomes Dyonisis and Lupine alongside headliners Inkubus Sukkubus and bids farewell to one of the greats, Midnight Configuration, who play their final ever performance here tonight. Dominion Magazine have been invited along by event organiser, and Lupine frontman, Lemmy with the opportunity of video interviewing each of the bands ahead of their performances. Its an opportunity too good to miss with such an inimitable line up, and we'll hear from Trev Bamford about his decision to end Midnight Configuration and of the new projects now under his wings. And as the crowds gather, enjoying an eclectic selection of ‘dark ditties’ and ‘dismal dirges’ from the chosen guest DJs, last minute preparations for both the event itself, and our own vox-pop interviews provided a little sideline entertainment for the ever increasing numbers.
