Dominion Towers Update

In the News section of Dominion's site Vampire Freaks announced the Great Americon competition whereby you can win a ticket to a gig that's part of the Pros and Cons Tour 2011. Goteki announced that they're re-releasing their entire back catalogue, Trev Bamford aka 'The Dark Lord' told us about his new band Death Party UK, and Aeon Sable told us about the new video for 'Agnosia'.
In CD Reviews, Victoria Fenbane took a look at The Birthday Massacre's new EP release 'Imaginary Monsters' containing covers and new material, whilst Sean had a listen to Juno Reactor's 'Inside The Reactor and Armand covered Angels of Liberty 'Monster In Me'.
Kev Morris went to DV8 and gave us his account of Friday's Dv8 line-up, he had Mark Dobson, a new photographer on the scene with him and Mark coped admirably with odd lighting - as these wonderful photographers often do. Next week Kev Morris and Neil Chapman/Unholy Racket will hand over the rest of their DV8 stuff, and we'll also have a video interview with The March Violets. We'll feature other interviews from a couple of bands on the DV8 line-up very soon.
In the Features section Michael Wilson brought us the latest in his 'Introducing...' series, this time it was Aesthetic Perfection and Faye Coulman, a newbie to the site, took a look at Dominion, the club in Dublin. They've just celebrated twelve years on the scene so they quite rightly deserved a mention in Dark Gothic Club Nights.
Next week we'll be publishing the Dominion Music Non Stop Charts as well as the Dominion Radio Charts so all radio DJs get your sets onto the Dominion Forum fairly swiftly so you can be included.
Morrisey excelled himself this week by becoming the latest in the list of singers who should have kept his mouth shut in order to retain fans, and this list of motor-mouth-type 'stars' that should know better is growing by the week. The sad events in Norway came within Morrisey's radar - check out the Dominion Facebook page for the hoo ha.
Sadly, this week has brought some bad news - namely the sudden death of Mark Alexander of Ace Radio and of course Amy Winehouse whose 'Back To Black' album has regularly been played over the years by at least two of the Dominion team to my knowledge.
Mark Alexander worked tirelessly for Ace Radio and Dominion appreciates the loss of Mark to his colleagues, two of whom work fairly closely with Dominion - Kev Morris/Kev 36663 and DJ Ghost/Bryan F. Irving. We extend our condolences to Mark Alexander's family via Kev and Bryan.
