Luxury Stranger, with their new line up of Chris ‘Banshee' Tuke (bass/backing vocals) and Neal Spowage (drums/percussion) joining Simon York, opened for business with ‘God Is Dead', a new song, intense in both content and in delivery. Simon's punkier vocal style complimented rather than obstructed the darker avant-garde flare in their music and the interplay between all three continued to delight with the haunting riffs to the single ‘Empty Men', followed by ‘Dreaming Our Lives Away' and ‘Dirt', both taken from their first album, ‘Desolation'.
A late change in the set from ‘Frozen' to ‘Elements' gave the set a sleazy gothic twist before closing with ‘Korruption'. Luxury Stranger seem to have found themselves playing how Simon had always imagined they would; "Dirty, glamorous, sleazy goth with Punk sensibilities".
