The latest news on the Luxury Stranger front is that the new line-up of Simon York, Chris Tuke, and Neal Spowage is that they're all fired up and raring to go. Simon says that he's looking forward to the future as the whole Luxury Stranger project has been regenerated. The new line-up came together in time for rehearsals in early November and was announced at a special charity show proir to going on tour with The Chameleons in Europe
On the recording front, the band are currently working on two singles - 'Where You've Gone', a re-recording of the album track featuring the new line-up and 'Empty Men' with 'Frozen' as the B-side, both due to be released before and during the summer. Look out for this single as neither 'Frozen' or 'Empty Men' will ever appear on a Luxury Stranger album.
After the split within the band, 'Commitment and Discipline' was released with tracks featuring the old line-up and some without so it's encouraging to see the new Luxury Stranger energised and excited about the future. We shall listen with interest.
As ever, and so they can keep the title of 'busiest band', Luxury Stranger are writing material for their third album. 'Ripple' and 'God Is Dead' from this as yet unfinished album will be played at their gig at the upcoming Whitby Gothic Weekend.
