Nine Inch Nails founder Trent Reznor, along with his long-time cohort Atticus Ross, will team up to provide the score for David Fincher's adaptation of Stieg Larssons' 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'. The duo of Reznor and Ross have been nominated for a Golden Globe for their last soundtrack work on David Fincher's last film 'The Social Network'.
Fincher's version of 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' is set for a December release and is set to star Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. The dark crime novel was previously adapted as 'Män som hatar kvinnor' by Swedish film company Yellow Bird in 2009 and garnered international acclaim.
Reznor made the announcement this past Friday during an interview with New York Times music critic John Pareles. During the interview, which is available to watch on you tube (see below for part 1), Reznor also announced he was working on a 5.1 mix re-release of 1999's 'The Fragile'. He also notes that the new How To Destroy Angels album due out later this year, will sound very different to last year's EP and even mentions his willingness to work once again with Marilyn Manson.
