Seven Minutes of Heaven

Some of you may recall a game from our school days, where we would spend seven thumb-twiddling minutes in a cupboard with suitably friendly company. The expectation being that we would be engaging in all manner of salacious activities, rather than the awkward silence, and apologetic glances it actually was.
It is apparent that Jack Bender (Childs Play 3 – don't hold it against him) and J.J Abrams (Lost) also do. This is because Abrams and his Bad Robot production company are intending to develop a new horror-thriller based around this concept, called “Seven Minutes of Heaven”. The horror twist (and not just the awkwardness of being trapped in said cupboard) is that once the couple emerges they find all their friends are dead.
Is it just me, or does sound really rather cool? I have always liked situations where the ordinary is suddenly dropped away to become the extraordinary. The concept is pure Abrams, as his projects always involve a mysterious box of some kind, and the character’s reactions to the box being more important than what is in the box.
My only concern is how J.J. Abrams will be able to accommodate this in his already crammed schedule, when his other projects include the alien horror film “Super 8”. Meanwhile, Jack Bender is also involved the Tom Clancy film “Moscow” (slight change in direction from Childs Play 3!).
Despite how cool this idea sounds, I suspect it will be sometime before we have “Seven Minutes of Heaven” hitting our screens.
