It has been a quiet time for Nightwish, but it seems things are about to change… Anette Olzon, who is the vocalist for Nightwish, has formed a new band with Martijn Spierenburg, Within Temptation’s keyboardist. As yet unnamed, the duo are soon to begin working on their debut album. In Anette’s own words:
"I have recorded one song that is with Martin for mixing at the moment and I look forward to hearing it soon. The project album is also being discussed with record labels at the moment and as soon as we know more I promise to tell you who else will be involved!"

Fans of Nightwish will also be pleased to learn that Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards) announced that he has completed work on the demos for their next album, their since 2007’s Dark Passion Play. Nightwish are believed to be recording the album from July in Finland, with a release date set for sometime in 2011. Is it just me, or does that seem a long time to wait?
