How to Destroy Angels: A Drowning

Trent Reznor’s latest project How to Destroy Angels have released their debut single A Drowning, available from Amazon and iTunes. First impressions are that it is a much clearer and softer sound than what we have come to expect from Nine Inch Nails.
White not as stompy as Nine Inch Nails, I would have disappointed if A Drowning was similar to previous offerings from Trent Reznor, so this new sound is refreshing. Overall, I am left impressed with How to Destroy Angels debut offering, and will be keen to hear what other release from their forthcoming album is like.
Trent Reznor has also re-affirmed that Nine Inch Nails are indeed not dead. This is despite having played what he claimed were their last show and sold the equipment (this is not such major thing, as new equipment can always be bought). To quote Reznor:
"NIN is not dead. I am about to work on some material that I believe will be quite different than previous Nine Inch Nails very soon".
Make of that what you will…
