Big Black Sparkly Weekly Round-Up

By on 22 June 2012

While the weather has been a bit hit and miss this week, things at Dominion Towers have been all kinds of awesome.

We opened the week with an interview with William Control after his spot at Download Festival. He tells us about his new direction and just how much he hates record labels ” I’ve been on Victory records for the last, shit, almost ten years now and they’ve really fucking killed my spirit for comradely with the record label and I wanted to do something on my own and prove that I had the fans to be able to do a tour to be able to put out a record”.

Review Wednesday was a varied day, starting with the new release from Desdemona ‘Endorphins’ “Full of great guitar riffs, dance floor beats and soaring vocals the band have world domination in their sight”.

Next was Cauda Pavonis ‘Peace Through Superior Firepower’. “Their latest offering continues the band’s familiar, uncomplicated and slightly retro sound and is luckily crowned with one of their better album covers”

We also checked out The March Violets live in Islington and were suitably impressed. ” Tonight is really all about The March Violets and they are quickly in bloom as the guitar and violin tease us prior to the entrance of the singers. What an entrance too…”

Throughout the week there was also news from Club Antichrist, Angelspit, Cold In Berlin and Ayria – check out our News section for all the latest tour, label and release gossip.
