Gothic Mixology (AKA More Cocktails To Die for)

Continuing the theme from last Christmas‘ article on goth cocktailsCocktails To Die For – Or Be Killed By’ by our lovely Lenore – we at Dominion have compiled yet another list of alcoholic concoctions with which to astound and inebriate your friends. So grab your shakers and hold on to your highballs once again!

 
Absinthe Friend

Ingredients:
1 measure of Gin
1 measure of Absinthe (Or Pernod)
A dash of Angostura Bitters
A dash of sugar syrup

Method:
Shake over ice until frosted.
Serve in a lowball glass.

Barbed Wire

Ingredients:
3 measures of Vodka
1 tsp of sweet Vermouth
½ tsp of Pernod
½ measure of dry Sherry
Twist of Lemon peel

Method:
Shake over ice until frosted
Serve in a chilled wine/cocktail glass and garnish with Lemon peel.

Black Widow

Ingredients:
2/3 measure of dark Rum
1/3 measure of Southern Comfort
Juice of half a Lime
A dash of Curacao
Soda Water
Lime peel

Method:
Pour the Rum, Southern Comfort, Lime juice, and a dash of Curacao over ice and shake.
Strain into a highball glass and top with Soda and a twist of Lime.

Brain Haemorrhage

1 measure of Peach Schnapps, chilled
1 tsp Bailey’s Irish Cream, Chilled
½ tsp Grenadine, chilled

Method:
Pour the Peach Schnapps into a shot glass and carefully float the Bailey’s on top.
Finally top with Grenadine.

Cheshire Cat

Ingredients:
Cracked ice
1 measure of Brandy
1 measure of sweet Vermouth
1 measure of Orange juice
Champagne, chilled
Orange peel

Method:
Pour the Brandy, Vermouth and orange juice over cracked ice in a mixing glass.
Stir and strain well into a Champagne flute and garnish with Orange peel.

Corpse Reviver

Ingredients:
Cracked ice
2 measures of Brandy
1 measure of Apple Brandy
1 measure of sweet Vermouth

Method:
Pour over ice in a mixing glass.
Stir and strain into a cocktail glass.

El Diablo

Ingredients:
Cracked ice
2-3 strips of Lime peel
1 measure of Lime juice
3 measures of white Tequila
1 measure of Crème De Cassis
Twist of Lime peel

Method:
Fill a chilled lowball glass with cracked ice.
Pour over the ice and stir well.
Garnish with Lime peel.

KGB

Ingredients:
1 ½ measures of Gin
½ measure of Kummel
A dash of Apricot Brandy

Method:
Shake over ice until frosted and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Moonlight

Ingredients:
2 measures of Apple Brandy
2 measures of Lemon juice
½ tsp sugar syrup
Cracked ice

Method:
Shake over ice until frosted.
Half-fill a chilled lowball glass with cracked ice.
Strain the cocktail over the ice.

Moonrise

Ingredients:
300ml medium dry Cider
1 tbsp brown sugar
A pinch of ground Cinnamon
A pinch of grated Nutmeg
1 measure of Apple Brandy
1 tsp of Single Cream

Method:
Pour Cider into a saucepan with the sugar, Cinnamon and Nutmeg and heat until sugar disolves.
Pour into a warm, heat-proof glass and stir in the Brandy.
Float the single cream on top.

Nuclear Fallout

Ingredients:

1 tsp of Raspberry syrup
¼ measure of Maraschino
¼ measure of yellow Chartreuse
¼ measure of Cointreau
¼ measure of blue Curacao, chilled

Method:
Carefully pour the well-chilled liqueurs into a shot glass, layering them up by pouring onto the back of a tea spoon. Finally pour in the blue Curacao

Rattlesnake

Ingredients:
1 measure of Bailey’s Irish Cream, chilled
1 measure of dark crème De Cacao, chilled
1 measure of Kahlua, chilled

Method:
Pour the Bailey’s, Crème De Cacao and Kahlua in layers into a shot glass.

Self-Destruct

Ingredients:
3 measures of Vodka
½ tsp of Lime juice
½ tsp Triple Sec

Method:
Shake over ice cubes until frosted.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Star Wars

Ingredients:
2 measures of Gin
2 Measures of Lemon juice
1 measure of Galliano
1 measure of Crème De Noyau
Twist of Lemon peel

Method:
Shake over ice until frosted.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with Lemon peel.

Ultra Violet

Ingredients:
80ml Absolut Kurant Vodka
40ml Blue Curacao
2 tsp of Strawberry syrup
2 tsp of Grenadine
Soda water
Star fruit slices

Method:
Shake the Liqueurs, Syrup and Grenadine.
Half fill a highball glass with ice and pour over.
Top with Soda water and garnish with Star fruit.

Voodoo
Ingredients:
½ measure of Kahlua, chilled
½ measure of Malibu, chilled
½ measure of Butterscotch Schnapps, chilled
1 measure of Milk, chilled

Method:
pour into a highball glass and stir well.

Walking Zombie

Ingredients:
1 measure of white Rum
1 measure of golden Rum
1 measure of dark Rum
1 measure of Apricot Brandy
1 measure of Lime juice
1 measure of Pineapple juice
1 tsp of Sugar syrup
Cracked ice
Orange and Lemon slices

Method:
Shake over ice until frosted .
Half-fill a highball glass with cracked ice and strain the cocktail over it.
Garnish with Orange and Lemon slices.

Zombie

Ingredients:
Crushed Ice
2 measures of dark Rum
2 measures of white Rum
1 measure of golden Rum
1 measure of Triple Sec
1 measure of Lime juice
1 measure of Orange juice
1 tbsp of Grenadine
1 tbsp of Orgeat syrup
1 tsp of Pernod

Method:
Pour into blender, blend until smooth.
Pour unstrained into a highball glass.

Zombie Prince

Ingredients:
A dash of Angostura bitters
1 measure of white Rum
1 measure of golden Rum
1 measure of dark Rum
½ measure of Lemon juice
½ measure of Orange juice
½ measure of Grapefruit juice
1 tsp brown sugar

Method:
Splash the bitters over ice in a mixing glass.
Pour the rest in and add the sugar. Stir well.
Strain into a chilled highball glass
