Furious Texas grindcore outfit Hatred Surge, featuring former Insect Warfare bassist Alex Hughes, have just released their 'Deconstruct' vinyl full-length on RSR in Europe, Rescued From Life in the US and on tape from Financial Ruin. Cover art is different on the two vinyl releases. The CD version, should be you be born after 1976, was released on Rescued From Life earlier this year.

Grindcore's last Tommy, the brilliantly lovely MITCH DICKINSON, ex of Unseen Terror, Heresy, Sacrilege and a tambourine part in a Cathedral album (or something to that effect), joined the mighty INSECT WARFARE on stage at Birmingham and Nottingham at their request to blast through some old classics. Cult Texan grinders Insect Warfare, though largely thought inactive following the worldwide re-release of 625 Thrash full-length 'World Extermination' and a noisy one-track vinyl 'Noise Grind Power Death', have announced their plans to tour Europe and the UK in October, ten dates are proposed for the UK with three already confirmed as Newcastle, Manchester and Northampton.

Our t-shirt store has been quite slow to start stocking anything other than the blandly unexciting (Disturbed anyone?), but it looks as though two crucial new additions snuck in there without the necessary blastbeat fanfare: deactivated grindcult Read more
