Phew! Just made it before the end of January with my top 5 albums of 2009. As I was saying to Max Cavalera the other day over a refreshing flute of Cristal in the JFK airport VIP lounge, what with all the blags, junkets, free gigs, launch parties, after-parties, before-parties and during-parties of the rock writer lifestyle, it can be hard to fit in the actual writing sometimes.
