ALGHAZANTH
'Vinum Intus'
WOODCUT
What Dimmu Borgir didn't tell Metal music fans is that they have cousins from Finland. Finnish Symphonic Black Metal gang Alghazanth corrode any resistance from haters of this dark genre and quash the chance of failure by delivering their sixth and ever-best full length album 'Vinum Intus'. Shrieking incantations amass a delinquent aroma of cold and rotten audio waves into a synchronised product of complex musicianship, leaving the atmosphere disturbed and evil as much as Lucifer beckons to be. 'Vinum Intus' is one essential album to any Black Metal fan's collection, a work of pure evil genius.

REDEEMER
'Global Excorcism'
DEATH OF THE EARTH
Canadian Groove Thrashers saluted their efforts with their 2010 debut album 'Global Excorcism', collecting a various number of elements via guitars, drums and vocals to develop a sound shocker-of-an-album. You'll find Redeemer open the doorways to a new path, one which no one does not fear, but one that is rewarding. As solid as the maple tree, their debut album is guaranteed to flow out of the speakers like maple syrup on pancakes, whilst maintaining a respectable level of brutality.

SKULLP
'Evolution Through Genocide?...'
Groove Thrashers Skullp made their first move with their debut EP 'Evolution Through Genocide?...' which was released in 2010, in audio terms a big feast laden with juicy riffs, scrumptious drumming and sick vocals. Skullp redefine the image of Groove/Thrash in numerous ways, with a solid plateau resting upon thy infernal composures, the rest of the EP follows in sync. An essential album for any Groove Thrasher, an album with a message of insanity, brutality and a special glimpse of 'Evolution Through Genocide?...'.

SEVERENTH
'Reveal'
ANT HILL
Thrashcore mob Severenth return freshly pumped up on iron, beer, rock and roll and dump out sweat and their old musical habits, for their 2010 full length album 'Reveal' smashed all of their past achievements, bigger, better and far more extreme than their softer times. The Chester-based quintet emerge favourites to lead the front line in the future years at Download, with their latest album 'Reveal', there is no reason why that does not happen. Thumping beats, unorthodox riffs and ear-raping vocals all come together to 'Reveal' what Severenth really is, simply a monster waiting to run rampage.

AMBER TEARS
'Ключ К Декабрю (Key To December)'
BADMOODMAN
Depressing and sorrowful comes to mind with Russian Doom Folksters Amber Tears with their sophomore full-length album 'Ключ К Декабрю (Key To December)' released in 2010. With Russian lyrics at the realm, there is a level of despair aspiring around in the atmosphere, slow melodic and contemporary dark in many forms. Amber Tears are amongst the masses of Doom-like Metal bands in the Russian Metal scene and as such becomes an example for bands to follow. 'Ключ К Декабрю (Key To December)' is for fans of Arkona, Frailty and Russian Doom Metal.

WARPATH
'Malevolent Reprisal'
UNDERGROUND MOVEMENT
Irish Brutal Death Metal mob awakens from the graveyards for another necrophilia attack in style, more so in form of their sophomore album 'Malevolent Reprisal' which saw daylight in 2010. A futile exemplar of incantations enveloped in pure insanity, a comatose to all that exists in mere life-form. Bowel retching vocals fall captive to a heavy raping by the guitars and drums, this is Ireland's true dark brutality (not the IRA in many cases), in fact leprechauns will wilt at the sound of this music and gnomes are goners as Warpath execute the 'Malevolent Reprisal'.

THE FOETAL MIND
'The Grand Contraction'
HYPNOTIC DIRGE
The one way music to suicide is here, depressing and sorrow-laden and with France's Blackened Doomsters The Foetal Mind, this is a health and safety warning, for the music is suicidal and evil. Musically it is a little saner but overall their general recording is somewhat a little disappointing, definitely not 'The Grand Contraction' and almost certainly a sad state of affair. Back to square one for The Foetal Mind.

MELPEIN
'Silenziosi Frastuoni'
Italian Prog Metallers Melpein made a statement of power in 2010 with their debut album 'Silenziosi Frastuoni', with an armament of Italian lyrics to soothe the soul and mind, the trio from Foligno embrace the beauty of Italy and endorse it with a lavish and beautiful mix of operatic vocals, Power Metal-like backing music and a dance feel to it. For Melpein this is a step to make themselves a better known band, but more importantly one that remains true to their mother tongue, which some bands failed to do. For fans of Tokio Hotel, Tyr and Devin Townsend.

DEADLY CARRION
'Kak Prekrasen Etot Mir'
Пot is much known about this Belarusian Death Metal band but under the veil they have smothered themselves lies a brutal wave of songs worthy enough of acknowledgement. Шith the band using their native Belarusian language for lyrics, they exhibit a combination that was yet to be realised. Сombining blastbeats with riffs and vocals heavy enough to topple the USSR over tenfold, Deadly Carrion are flying the flag for the Belarusian Metal scene, even if we do not know what they look like.
