WINTERGEWITTER
'Operation Wintergewitter'
FORGOTTEN WISDOM
Of all metal genres, this is probably the most controversial to date, National Socialist Black Metal (NSBM), but for all time sake refer it as Black Metal with World War Two lyrics to avoid confrontations. Hailing from Germany, this trio (names unknown) digs up the darkest realms of 20th century history and places it into 2010's darkest albums. Taking into account the location of the band, it is very dangerous what they are doing, although hiding under the underground metal scene is the best option, how ironic is it to find no photos at all. Sounding from the deepest pits of hell is high-pitch Black Metal vocals alongside the rawest guitar playing on the planet, both of which backed by slow and fast drumming. However, it is interesting in the booklet as it explains what Wintergewitter means and was, somewhat better than today's History lesson. Be afraid, be very afraid!!!!

JEWISH JUICE
'Soaring Above Death'
Italy's role in WW2 was probably the prelude to this trio of NSBM metallers, probably one of the most controversial releases from the European nation, an insult to Israel who is heavily Jewish. Such controversies in music are only as dangerous as today's politics, and with the anti-Semitic vocals being emitted amongst traditional black metal musicianship, it only comes to the end of the day that, NSBM may as well be a good way to teach about Nazi history, just remember to label it as black metal on your mp3 player.

RAFFLESIA
'In The Face Of Suffering'
GENET
Belgian Deathrash/Metalcore outfit Rafflesia bring their second album 'In The Face Of Suffering' to a new level of mass ear brutalizing, with insanity riding the blastbeats, fury parading about the studio and an album loaded with bollocks enough to save 1000 women, Rafflesia are one metal act that are promising to break through into the limelight, and with this monster of metal coming alive with every passing second, there is no reason to why they shouldn't cause a stir in the metal world, 'In The Face Of Suffering'.

'De Mortis Eloquentia'
Swiss Deathrashers Beansidhe deliver their debut EP in a unique style, pounding blastbeats synchronised with insane guitar playing and vocals result in massacre worthy of investigation. Brutal insanity rides the EP in brain crushing styles that are only upgraded by the band's unique sense of destruction in terms of making sure the listener listens!! ATHEOS
'The Death of Utopia'
UNDERGROUND MOVEMENT
Atheos with their debut release and EP 'The Death of Utopia give the Irish metal scene a kick up the ass when the only major metal bands are based around Celtic Metal, Atheos are here to disturb that continuity, with drumming as fast as a Ferrari at Le Mans and guitars backing the vocals with such conformity, Atheos are one sign of Brutal Metal to come out fresh from the underground metal movement, armed with a battalion of leprechauns and a ton of shamrock, these noble Irishman mean business, watch as 'The Death of Utopia' comes about.

TRUE
'Still Life'
GEENGER
A few seconds of crackling on the CD did not spoil the overall review. Err-hem, Croatia's Death Metallers True exploit Death Metal to its limits with 'Still Life', fast and furious (no pun intended) drumming with distorted guitars and the rawest Death Metal vocals from Croatia are all exploited on this Balkan masterpiece, not bad for a debut. Most interesting is the occasional one second-pauses exhibited from this quintet, interestingly they have also got Folk influences, what with a Tamburitza coming into fray, so overall Croatian metallers True produce Death Folk Metal, while there's 'Still Life'

MASS HYPNOSIS
'Disin4mation'
GEENGER
Croatian Melodic Death Metal act Mass Hypnosis delivers their highly anticipated debut album 'Disin4mation'. Hailing from Zagreb, this quintet are one of Croatia's newest metal acts, it seems that this Baltic nation is starting to give birth to some of Southern Europe's most promising metal acts in the underground scenes. Ever changing-paced music and neurotic growling is what's emitted from this CD of pure steel, coming from the deepest pits of Croatia, Mass Hypnosis deliver the 'Disin4mation'.

HILDEROG (RIP 2007)
'66,6°Nord'
FORGOTTEN WISDOM
Buried among the icy land of Iceland because of their splitting up in 2007, their last expedition comes in the form of latitude and longitude, Nordic Black Metal. Rivaling the establishing Norwegian Black Metal scene, the Atlantic and Nordic cousins bestow their last offering in kvlt style, Icelandic Black Metal at its finest hour. What more could be said apart from get the atlas out, find '66,6' and pray for the best.

MOR
'Hram Krvi I Praznine'
FORGOTTEN WISDOM
Serbian Black Metallers gave Europe a black and grim wave of underground shocks with their debut last year, with all songs in their native Serbian the language barrier is made up with some grizzly and dark musicianship. Casting a shadow over the Swedish Black Metal scene not to mention that this band is photographed with no corpsepaint is paramount to the fact they are Black metal, but then again this still makes no difference, Mor are one of Serbia's newest exports, fear it bitches!!

PROJECT MASSACRE
'Backfire'
That's the norm really, the inevitable fact that the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania but in this case Estonia) are producing more and more metal bands, however they are underground, well not for long, going back to 2009, Estonia suffered a magnitude 10 earthquake in the form of Project Massacre, a Tartu-based Death Metal quintet, enough personnel to carry out the 'Project Massacre', with vocals scarier than Vlad the Impaler and music so heavy it brings out the most violent thunderstorms, make no mistake Project Massacre aim to conquer, so be aware of this quintet, not paying attention to them could cause your luck to 'backfire'.
