BLACK MASS TO RELEASE DEBUT EP ON HOLY ROAR RECORDS

Bought together by a love of playing as loudly as possible and smoking weed, the 4 piece have created an E.P showcasing impressive groundwork for a full length. The production is a slight contradiction with the drums being very clean with everything else having a rough edge. It is complimentary (and the blast beat sounds crazy) but whether it was intentional or just the way Matthew Broadley plays is a questionable point.
Vocally abrasive, Jack Riddleston seemingly becomes more frustrated throughout the record, creating an anticipatory feeling for you at the end of the speaker, that is, until 00:55 into track 4, ‘Our Father’ (which is ironically 3:16 long), when you are met by distorted chords and feedback courtesy of Cal Wilton and whatever it was Jamie Starke could get his hands on, giving you an awesome finale to this EP.
The guys have given us the chance to show off the first track from their EP, out on Holy Roar later this year. To listen just click here.
