ATRITAS
‘Celestial Decay’
CCP
Swiss Symphonic Black Metal outfit Atritas unleashed this piece of brutality back in 2009 when the darkness of Satanism was at its prime and in such an ironic situation; taking Switzerland’s Christian links and inverting it with Swiss Satanism. Just don’t expect the band to yodel across the Swiss Alps because avalanches will occur from the ferocity of this quintet. Assume battle positions.

DEONA CART DELUNA
‘First EP’
SALUTE
Malaysian Death/Thrash Metallers Deona Cart Deluna delivers an oriental opus in their ‘First EP’, break-neck thrash and raw guttural vocals are blasted out of this Asian island chain. To see Malaysia having this band under their flag and metal roster its enough to make the Formula 1 at Kuala Lumpur turn into a monster mash up, the similarity being both are brutal, fast and exciting. It is time to go east and watch this Malaysian quintet sow the oriental with the western world and mould it into Malay Metal.

A LOSTFIELD
‘Internal Affairs’
Alternative Metal trio A Lostfield unleash their debut album to the masses, coming from Colombia; this is one metal band that will gain recognition in the Colombian Metal scene. Representing more like MCR crossed with System of a down and some spiced up double bass drumming, resulting in Alternative Metal on a new level. Watch out USA, Colombia has developed a unique style of Alternative Metal. Fear it, envy it.

ENEMY IS US
‘Venomized’
BASTARDIZED
Swedish Death-Thrashers Enemy Is Us released this majestic record in the year 2008; brutal drumming and guttural vocals cannot compromise to the extremity that is exerted from this band’s overall composition. Uptight blastbeats fail to succumb to the plucking of the guitars in synchronization with the vocals and thus therefore create a unique sense of atmosphere, a murderous one at that. Whilst this band obliterates everything living with sonic sanity, they adapt surroundings to a ‘Venomized’ one. The ‘Enemy Is Us’.

DEMORIAN
‘Back To the Glorious Past’
SALUTE / AZERMEDOTH
Demorian a Swedish Black Metal duo compromises of Salute Record’s owner as one of the musicians. Crisp Swedish Black Metal is produced from the speakers as well as a cold and bitter atmosphere. Winter has come with this release, darkness encasing the room and a cold wintry wind blasting around resembling the powerful sonata’s produced by the music. This is their debut release and was unleashed in 2008, so it is ‘Back to the glorious past’ as Demorian raise their swords in combat against their neighbors and formidable music enemies, True Norwegian Black Metallers.

SPECTRAL
‘Evil Iron Kingdom’
CCP
German Black Thrashers Spectral released this album in 2009 with full force of Viking power. Germany having links to Scandinavia deemed this album fit for any Viking fest, not the one that was exploited last month in Oslo, but more like the battlefields where the Germanic people met the Vikings. Spectral have proven once again that metal is still young compared to other genres and yet is developing more and more styles. With ‘Evil Iron Kingdom’ concerned, this is no exception and with that in mind, Spectral aim to deliver more and more breathtaking metal.

WOODLAND
‘Dreamality’
CCP
Hailing from Lübeck in Germany, near the North Sea, Woodland released their debut album entitled ‘Dreamality’ in 2009. Traditional German folk music meets the vibrant metal music and meshes together to create a majestic genre, Folk Metal. Being one of the most chilling metal genres, Woodland certainly hit that criterion, even with their first song ‘Cemenntie’ using excerpts of the tide coming onto the beach creating a sense of calmness within the room and soul of the listener. Even if it is in German, the originality is heavily expressed. Keep your ears peeled, Woodland aim to conquer Europe.
