Sweden has spouted another Melodic Death Metal, luckily without resounding like any other. Anachronaeon, a duo of Andreas Åkerlind and Patrik Carlsson formed in 2003 give us their latest chunk of meat to chew on, as you listen and follow 'The futile quest for immortality' you are immersed in a fury-loaded chapter in Swedish Death Metal history. Forty-four minutes of gritty guttural vocals and Scar Symmetry style melodic vocals. This duo has come far and has little to prove, but a band to watch and monitor. For fans of Scar Symmetry, Sonic Syndicate and Bleeding Through.
