Jaz Coleman found…. but KJ off the Cult tour…

By on August 14, 2012

We reported last week on some important updates to The Cult, Mission and Killing Joke tour – and now there have been further developments.

Jaz Coleman has been found… safe and well in the Western Sahara (as you do).  ”I’ve been finishing my book and writing the score for my new project – (The Nirvana Symphonic) – (laughs), what’s all the fuss about then?”

Of the tour with The Cult and The Mission, Jaz’s words were “Looks like this has caused a right ding dong and feel it’s impossible to continue this tour under the circumstances” – which pretty much confirms the band are pulling out, but yet with no sensible ‘official’ reason given.

In an interview with New Zealand paper The Press,  Coleman was quoted as saying, “”I didn’t want to do those five shows, I think their music sucks but I was outvoted by the rest of the band. We are a democracy.”” – which suggests they’re democratic up to the point Coleman doesn’t get his own way and then he runs off to work on a new project…. hmmm

The Cult and The Mission are both yet to comment but presumably they’ll be doing the tour together, with extended sets.

There has been no comment as of whether Killing Joke’s £195-a-ticket show in London on September 8th will go ahead as planned either.

The saga continues….
