A Forest Of Stars: “We wanted to look like clever clogs”

By on July 30, 2012

In the latest issue of Terrorizer, we speak to debonair UK black metallers A Forest Of Stars about the making of their latest opus ‘A Shadowplay For Yesterdays’ and what life is like in the Gentleman’s Club.

“I knew we wanted something different,” The Gentleman reveals. “I wanted to create a proper concept album. Not just an overarching story that connected a collection of songs. Let’s be honest here, we wanted to look like clever clogs.”

The seven-piece are presently on their Terrorizer sponsored UK tour with Wodensthrone and Acolyte and you can catch them here:

Tuesday 31 July: Lomax, Liverpool (with Ninkharsag);
Wednesday 1 August: Asylum 2, Birmingham (with Subvertio Deus);
Thursday 2 August: Volks, Brighton (with Hole in the Sky and Stone Circle);
Friday 3 August: The Croft, Bristol (with Fever Sea); and
Saturday 4 August: The Black Heart, Camden (with Virophage).
