Damnation adds Belphegor, Extreme Noise Terror, Wodensthrone and Devil Sold His Soul.

Damnation festival have just made a rather awesome announcement.

Austrian death metal troupe Belphegor will play their only UK show of 2012 on the Terrorizer stage at Damnation.

Belphegor frontman Hellmuth commented: ”It’s always a pleasure and an intense ritualistic raid experience to bring our chaos sound to the UK. Hail Damnation! Hail Death!”

Joining them on the Terrorizer stage will be UK crust grind pioneers Extreme Noise Terror and English black metallers Wodensthrone.

Wodensthrone guitarist/vocalist Rædwalh said: “Wodensthrone are very pleased to have been invited to play Damnation Festival; an event that we have seen grow from its inception in Manchester to one of the UK’s premier metal events.

Meanwhile, confirmed for the Jagermeister stage is progressive hardcore group Devil Sold His Soul.

They join a line-up that already includes: Electric Wizard, My Dying Bride, Pig Destroyer, Primordial, Textures, Aura Noir, Gama Bomb and 40 Watt Sun.
