Big Gothic Weekly Round-Up

By on June 29, 2012

We kicked off the week with Sean’s ‘Summer Survival Kit’, designed to help us sun dodgers get through (what remains of ) our British Summer. High factor sun screen, parasols and even skull adorned swimwear feature in his ‘must have’ list.

Ahead of the DV8 Festival (taking place right now in the city of York) our resident photographer Unholy Racket gave us a preview of the much anticipated weekend. You can see it here, if you are unlucky enough not to be there right now.

Review Wednesday (took place on Thursday, damn internet) had it’s ups and downs. Kev loathed Brotherhood’s new release but was suitably impressed by his live experience of Combichrist in Newcastle.

Sean found some fabulous new music courtesy of Essence Of Mind. It seems big things may be in their future, and was surprised by the lack of pretention in Mari Chrome’s release.

Follow us on Twitter for news from DV8 this weekend and whatever you’re doing, wear sunscreen.
