BAND OF THE DAY: BLACK BREATH

Black Breath

With their uncompromising energy and infectious brutality, Seattle's Black Breath have scarcely been off the Terrorizer office stereo since the new album 'Heavy Breathing' landed on our desks. The band may have played with the likes of Nachtmystium, The Accüsed, Victims, Trap Them and be on uber-cult label Southern Lord, but don't be fooled, this is hardcore (ooh Pulp reference), featuring ultra-posi dudes from Go It Alone and Rev Records' melodic boys Shook Ones.

LATVIAN FOLK METAL FOREFATHERS SKYFORGER SIGN TO METAL BLADE

Skyforger

Pagan metal pioneers Skyforger have signed to Metal Blade for the release of new album 'Kurbads', having dropped even the disguised sunwheel (already toned down compared to the original, which is a sad sign of the hyper-sensitive times) from their logo in favour of a nice friendly rune. Frontman Peter said of the signing, "For sure this is a new chapter in the band’s career.

Evile infecting Nations Tour 2010.Barcelona, Spain

Last night I slept in the back lounge of our new bus, wasn’t too bad really. Noisy, lights flashing past, sliding around on the wipe down seats. Actually it was pretty depressing. At some point during the early hours, I found a comfy nook and slept great after that. Arie and Joel are always the ones up early and as soon as Arie was up I asked if it was all right to go sleep a bit in his bunk, which he was cool with so all good in the end. Bit of improvisation needed is all.
